Priv V8 Kit Overview
The Priv V8 is the latest mechanical kit from Smoktech and combines a V8 Box Mod with a TFV8 Baby Tank. The box mod features 60 watts of power, LED battery indicators, a large firing key, USB charging, and a single 18650 battery. At the same time, the tank has a coil specifically designed to maximize vapor and flavor for this particular starter kit.
Appearance-wise, the mod looks like a small version of Smoktech H-Priv devices, especially the familiar firing key and zinc alloy construction. Available colors include gold/red, red/black, purple/black, white/7-color, black/7-color, silver/black, and black/red with matching TFV8 Baby Tank. With measurements of only 24.5mm x 34mm x 80mm and a weight of just 83.3g, the box mod is tiny and pocket friendly.
A single 18650 external battery can be installed via a sliding bottom battery panel that flips open to expose the battery bay. The cell can be charged by plugging the mod into any wall outlet, occurring with a current of 600 to 700mA. A battery LED above the micro USB interface lets you track the battery’s charge level.
With a coil resistance of 0.15 ohm and a full battery, the Priv V8 box mod can produce 60 watts of output, making it somewhat more powerful than similar kits in the marketplace. An LED next to the atomizer bezel lets you track working stats or any problems with the mod. The light will be solid white if everything is working as it should. Several safety features are built into the mod to safeguard against potential risks: short circuit protection, low battery warning, impedance protection, reverse battery protection, overshoot protection, and over-puff protection.
The TFV8 Baby Tank in this kit is one of the most popular atomizers because it provides massive vapor at lower power levels. While the tank works with all TFV8 Baby Coils, the two V8 Baby-M2 heads — included with purchase — were specifically designed for this kit. These dual coils fire with a 0.25ohm resistance, resulting in cool and flavorful vapor output. An RBA head is also available.
The Baby Tank is tiny with just 22mm x 53mm measurements and a 3ml tank capacity. A top fill system that swivels open to make adding juice easy, airflow is adjustable via two large air slots at the bottom, and a heat-resistant Delrin drip tip is also included.
