Overview

The Mech Pro Box Mod by Geekvape is the company’s latest mechanical box mod that is built with a hard-wired circuit board, interchangeable face plates and uses either one or two 18650 cells. Or, you can get the Mech Pro Kit that includes a Medusa RDTA.

Visually, the Mech Pro Mod looks unique and includes panels on both sides that can be swapped for a personalized style. The device measures 53mm x 96mm x 25.5mm, is made from zinc alloy with a sprayed finish and is available in black, red or silver. The firing button is oversized, has a beautiful brass color and slants at a 45 degree angle for easy operation/ergonomics. To prevent accidental firing, the mechanism can be locked via a physical switch on the side.

When removing the plate covers, the gold-plated brass hardwired circuit system becomes visible. Here you will also find the battery bay that runs on one or two 18650 batteries in parallel to double the amperage and allow for longer battery life. And, reverse battery protection is built-in to keep your vape experience safe. The Mech Pro can also fire builds or tanks down to 0.1ohm.

The Medusa is said to be Geekvape’s flagship RDTA. It utilizes simple design, is convenient to refill and has a 3ml e-juice reservoir. With a height of only 33mm and an outside diameter of 25mm, the device is also compact.

While the Medusa appears to be an RDA, it’s actually an RDTA (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer) that can also hold up to 3ml of e-juice. To add juice, you must remove the threaded shaft section to reveal the e-liquid reservoir. If used as an RDA, you simply drip e-juice thru the drip tip.

From a design perspective, the Medusa features a streamlined appearance and the premium laser etching throughout adds to the unit’s premium look. At the bottom, you will see a standard 510 connection that is built with an electrically conductive gold-plated pin.

Airflow levels are also adjustable thanks to dual rectangular air holes on opposite sides of the shaft. To improve vape flavors, the shaft’s size is smaller than similar RDTAs.
