Overview

The V80 is Laisimo’s latest box mod. It features a portable form factor, up 80 watts of power, temperature control with TCR mode and a large 1.3 inch full color OLED. The device is available in red or space grey.

Design wise, the device is reminiscent of other Laisimo box mods such as the Laisimo L1, but with smaller dimensions of 67mm x 42mm x 24mm. The construction materials used are zinc alloy with glass front and back panels. The control face on the front is built with a big colorful RGB screen that measures 1.3 inches diagonally. The menu is displayed in a vertical configuration and includes data such as wattage, temperature, battery level, lock status, mode, puff time, resistance, voltage and a puff counter. At the top of the mod, you will see a spring loaded atomizer bezel that is compatible with any 510 atomizer connection pin and is gold plated for best electrical conductivity. On the bottom, there’s ventilation holes to prevent the mod from overheating.

For power, the Laisimo V80 is made with an internal 2600mAh battery that is big enough to fire for extended periods without a need to recharge. The cell cannot be removed to charge externally. Instead, built-in on board charging technology allows for plugging the mod’s micro USB port into any wall outlet or computer to top off the cell. The charging process takes place with an electric current of 1 amp, so it may take a couple of hours.

Technically, this mod seems to have everything you would desire from a portable box mod. The highest output comes in at 80 watts and there is temperature control operation with SS316L, titanium and Ni200 coil wire types up to 662 degrees Fahrenheit. Via the menu, you can access two memory slots that include TCR capability for the most precise temperature operation. And, this box mod will work with any atomizer with a resistance of 0.05ohm or higher. All these specs point to the fact that this mod will work with mostly every mid-wattage atomizer, build or tank in the marketplace. For the purpose of safer vaping, there’s also high temperature protection, low battery warning, short circuit protection and low resistance protection.

With their latest V80 box mod, we hope that Laisimo has improved their software and hardware as preceding devices were quite disappointing. If so, this mod is bound to become quite popular due to its portability, high capacity battery, big color screen and versatility.
