RHA85 or AL85 Overview
The AL85 mod in this kit looks very familiar, with the same zinc alloy construction and smooth, colorful lines. It is available in black/gunmetal stripe, black/champagne gold stripe, black/red stripe, and silver/silver stripe. The mod is very portable, with dimensions of 71mm x 48mm x 27mm and a weight of only 120g. And it’s ergonomic with a comfortable feel that can be easily held in one hand.
The OLED of the AL85 is located on the front of the device and is encircled by the device’s slanted lines, making it stand out. The menu is indistinguishable from the previous Alien mod with the same easy-to-read layout. The menu will show the current battery level, power/temperature, voltage, resistance, amperage, mode, coil type, and puff counts in a vertical orientation.
Underneath the screen, there are two adjustment buttons to change settings easily. The firing trigger is smaller but similar in detail, allowing for the tiny mod’s form factor. It is a stealth trigger to make it hidden and to give the device a more streamlined look.
A single external 18650 battery powers the box mod. Access to the battery is gained by conveniently unscrewing the battery cap next to the spring-loaded 510 connection bezel at the top. With only one cell, the AL85 mod can generate 85 watts of power, temperature control from 100 to 315 degrees Celsius, and resistance down to 0.10ohm in power mode or 0.06ohm during variable temperature operation. The small device can be run in variable wattage mode, three programmable memory modes, and temperature control modes, and features a hard/normal/soft setting for a more customized drawing effect as soon as the device is fired.
The AL85 box mod is a firmware upgradeable device, so you will always be updated with future technology. Operating system updates are done using the USB port, which also doubles as a charging port for charging the battery inside the unit.
The TFV8 baby tank in this kit is Smoktech’s smallest tank with the nickname Baby Beast because it produces massive vapor in the low to mid-wattage range. This small atomizer measures 22mm x 53mm, is made from stainless steel with glass, can be used with four alternate coils (two included), features a top fill system to refill the 3ml tank, has bottom adjustable airflow, and is black to form the perfect combination with the AL85’s color.
