What’s new with this device is a full-color display screen that permits easily changing the mode to power, volt, curve, bypass, or custom mode. Firing in any of these modes can be done by simply puffing or pressing the button above the screen.
However, adjustments to the settings are not performed via traditional +/- buttons. Instead, a bottom wheel rotates to make precise changes with the least required steps for a seamless process. And a switch on the side of the Crown D permits setting the airflow to your liking.
Power to the coils comes from 1100 mAh integrated battery that should last all day without a recharge. A convenient bottom USB port permits the recharging of the cell.
Finally, the 3mL pod features a bottom-fill system, and there are 2 coil options, one for direct-to-lung vaping and the other for restricted direct-to-lung or mouth-to-lung puffs. The Uwell Crown D Kit comes pre-installed with a 0.3ohm Uwell PA DTL Coil that works from 25 to 35 watts, or you may install the extra 0.8hm MTL/RDL Uwell PA Coil that operates from 15 to 18 watts and is compatible with nic salt vape juices.
