Genie PD270 Box Mod Overview

The Ijoy Genie is the second box mod in the PD270 series of devices. It features a one-of-a-kind ergonomic design, changeable RGB backlights, a large display, compatibility with up to 30mm atomizers, an LED flashlight function, 234 watts of power, and a wide range of temperature modes.

With dimensions of 45mm x 45mm x 88mm, this unit is very similar in size/form factor to the previous Ijoy Captain PD270 mod and is also said to be ergonomic. Available colors include black, silver, and rainbow, but the appearance is completely customizable thanks to several leather stickers. These are made with snake patterns: red/black, blue/black, yellow/black, or white/black.  Also unique to this mod is the RGB backlights that are wave-like on opposite sides.  The lights’ colors can be red, blue, green, white, and colorful.  There is also an LED flashlight control button on the battery door in case you need a portable light.

On the top of the Genie PD270 mod, a 510 connection bezel will allow for the installation of atomizers up to 30mm in diameter without any overhang.  The control face features a large 0.96-inch display with a vertical menu.  The menu shows all the vape information you may need depending on the mode, including wattage/temperature, resistance, voltage, amperage, number of puffs, two battery bars, current mode, and more.

This PD270 box mod works with dual 20700 cells that are quite powerful for long vaping times — up to 20% more — compared to a dual 18650 box mod.  Batteries are easily installed by removing the back panel held by four magnets.  Polarities are marked to ensure the cells are never inserted in the wrong direction.  The batteries can be recharged via the onboard charging system that utilizes the micro USB port, which is also used for future software upgrades.

Inside the Ijoy Genie PD270, the latest IWEPAL chip board results in a highly sophisticated device.  As a result, this box mod can fire with up to 234W of output (with several tested modes), has a maximum 200 degrees Fahrenheit temperature output, can work with atomizers down to 0.05ohm, and works well with all coil types. The unit even has a TCR system to input your coil resistance settings that can be saved in two memory slots.   While the safety features are not listed in the specifications, Ijoy will surely have integrated several protections to ensure a safe vape experience.
