Overview

The Tesla Metal Box Mod is very compact and light. It has a round on one side and a square on the other side design and its casing is made of aluminum. And, it is a well-built, solid device.

The lowest output power is 7 watts and the maximum is 60 watts. It is compatible with atomizers that have a minimum resistance of 0.10‎Ω for normal coils and .08Ω for nickel coils and the temperature control range is from 200°F to 600°F.

The screen reminds you of DNA40-style devices. Depending on the mode, it has indicators for battery level, temperature, resistance, voltage, and wattage. The menu is very simple and flipping the screen can be easily done by holding the up and down buttons. The buttons have a brushed metal feel and are very nice and clicky.

Next to the USB charging port on the bottom, there’s a twist-style battery door in case you want to charge the 18650 battery externally. The battery cap has a notch so you don’t need a special tool to open it and the battery door can also be adjusted in case it rattles. Unfortunately, this device is not pass-through capable, so it can’t be vaped while charging.

The Tesla Metal has a 510 connection. The connection is not spring-loaded so it needs to be manually adjusted with a screwdriver.

All in all, the Tesla metal 60W box mod is a pretty solid device with a few shortcomings. But, the temperature control does works well and at this price, it’s a steal.
