Overview

The Wismec Active is the first box mod to double as a Bluetooth music player. Simply find the mod in your Bluetooth connection on your phone or tablet and connect to the mod. Once connected, the Active will tell you “Bluetooth connected” and music from your phone will play on the device. Although we are uncertain of the sound quality, if you watch the video (above), it seems to sound pretty good. Controlling the music is done via controls located on the small back side of the device, on the opposite side of the vape control face. Here you will see a play/pause button, a volume up button, a volume down button and an on/off button. Looks easy enough to use!

Another aspect that sets the mod apart from the crowded field of mods is that the Active was made to be shockproof and waterproof. In fact, you can play the music under the water or vape in the rain, so you don’t have to worry about taking it to the pool or if you are walking in the rain. Although not included with purchase, you may also buy a protective silicone case which will prevent the mod from ever shattering. These come in gorgeous resin like colors: camo, orange/yellow or blue/yellow.

Design-wise, the Wismec Active Box Mod is compact, yet portable. Its dimensions come in at only 55.6mm x 26.6mm x 94.5mm and its weight is just 166 grams. The device also comes with a hook so you may hang it from your pants, belt or bike. The available color options for the mod are black, black/orange and black/silver. At the top, there is a springloaded 510 connection bezel for use with a wide range of atomizers. The control face is built with a rectangular fire button, two adjustment buttons, a micro USB charging port and two adjustment buttons. In between, you will see a 0.9 inch OLED display that shows vape data horizontally.

For power, the Active Mod was built with a 2100mAh battery that is recharged via a micro USB port that works fast thanks to a 2 amp charging current. The battery allows for up to 80 watts of power with atomizers down to 0.05ohm in both power and temperature control modes. The Active has a multitude of mode options including variable wattage, bypass, temperature control with nickel, temperature control with titanium, temperature control with stainless steel and a TCR modes.
