Overview
The Athena 60W features a 100% real wood finish and, as the name indicates, several firing modes and temperature control technology. It features a beautiful design, yet it is very affordable.
The mod has dimensions of 38.3mm x 89.5mm and a weight of 204g. It is made from zinc alloy with a 100% quality red wood finish. Because of the materials used, it is a very attractive device and feels comfortable in the hand. The control face features a rectangular fire button with rounded corners at the top and the adjustment buttons are in vertical formation at the bottom.
In between the buttons, there’s an OLED with black background to match the black color of the control face, resulting in an amazing combined look. The menu on the screen features all the information you may want including mode, puff time, wattage/temperature, battery level, resistance and voltage.
The Athena Wood can be powered in many ways including normal mode, bypass mode and temperature control mode. The power range of the Athena Wood is 5W to 60W and the temperature control system allows for adjustment in the range of 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest atomizer resistance is just 0.05ohm. With these specs, this mod will certainly be compatible with virtually every atomizer you can throw at it.
The Athena 60W draws its power from a single 18650 battery which is located in the battery bay at the bottom. The cell should have a continuous discharge of 20 amps and can be removed for the purpose of charging. But, there’s also on board charging technology so you can simply plug the unit’s USB port into any wall outlet or computer to top off the cells. The USB port also allows for firmware upgrades in case Athena releases a newer OS in the future.
Safety features are also included in the wood box mod. There’s both reverse polarity protection and an explosion protection system.
