Overview

The next generation of the RX200 is finally here.  With the RX200S, Wismec and Jay Bo didn’t completely redesign the mod, but did make some improvements based on feedback from the vape community.  The RX200S features a a new chip board, better 510 pin and a larger OLED screen with a brand new menu.

The dimensions and shape of the RX200S is exactly the same as its predecessor, but the color scheme has changed to all gray.  It still has the unique shape of the RX200 and feels comfortable and fashionable in the hand.  At the top of the device, you’ll find a higher quality 510 connector with a springloaded center pin.  The connector is constructed of durable stainless steel threads to have higher resistance to wear and tear and to make it adaptable with most atomizers.  To ensure the mod stays cool, there’s 20 ventilation holes at the bottom and 6 more on the sides.

The control face features identical-looking fire and adjustment buttons, but the OLED has been enlarged from 0.69″ to 0.96″.  The screen has a new menu with white letters on a black background and there’s now an option to interchange the battery between an icon or percentage display.  In addition, the menu displays vertically with indicators for current mode, battery level, wattage/temperature, voltage, amperage and resistance.

The mod is powered by three 18650 cells to ensure high power for extended periods, without recharges.  The batteries you install should possess a discharging current above 25 amps to ensure proper operation.  To access the batteries, simply remove the back cover which is held down by powerful magnets.  Best of all, the cover is  identical to the RX200, so you can interchange them for a customized look.   In case you don’t have a charger, the RX200S is built with on-board charging technology, but it is always a good idea to top off the cells using an external charger.  Inside the battery tray, you’ll find bold positive and negative indicators to ensure you never insert the cells the wrong way.  But don’t worry, the mod has built-in reverse polarity protection in case you make a mistake.

The maximum output of the RX200S is 200W and temperature can be regulated  from 200°F to 600°F.  In power mode, the lowest resistance is 0.10Ω and for variable temperature heads, the unit can fire down to 0.05Ω. Temperature control modes can be set for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel heads.  But, there’s also TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) mode with which you can enter the numerical resistance value of your coil’s wire.

The RX200S also features firmware upgrades so the mod always stays up to date.

Overall, the Wismec RX200S by Jaybo is bound to be as popular as the RX200.  It still features all the technology you could possibly want, with many improvements.  It is a sure bet that they will sell out rather quickly, so get yours today.
